Realidad Virtual

“I look at the ceiling, in dim light I do not know it. A vague light goes through the window tinting everything, projecting the red of the curtain for a couple of meters. Beyond or more here, it does not matter, the effect is the same. The wind out there scolds with force, anger and threatening. Use the branches of the trees at will; like arms to scratch my window. I feel it, wants to enter.

Lying on my bed, I read. Narrations without doubt extraordinary. Reflective, I listen and I imagine. The wind, with its arms scrambled and its breath fresh. The coppery glitter of the pendulum, its Tic that collects and its Tac that exhales make me think that time does not pass, it only happens. A spontaneous idea, as when the temporal pulse coincides with the internal pulsation; so timeless, as hypnotic.

Tic-Tac, Tic-Tac, Tic-Toc, Toc-Toc …

The sound of the clock is confused with that of the branches on the glass.

Toc-Toc, Toc-Toc …

But they are not blows on glass, the sound is dry and short, like wood. As if someone knocked on my door!…”

Insomnia, Mario E. Moreno Rodríguez
